Since being introduced in 2015, the apprenticeship levy has been a source of controversy and debate. Over the years we have seen many changes to levy-transfer, with the most recent being in April 2024 - where the government increased the apprenticeship-levy-transfer rate from 25% to 50% in an effort to create a “tidal wave of apprenticeship starts”.
