A Day at Dunelm: Inspiring the Next Generation of Apprentices

In November, Dunelm (in partnership with Amazing Apprenticeships) hosted an incredible afternoon at their Store Support Centre, welcoming 55 local Year 11 – 13 students and their teachers for a behind-the-scenes visit to learn more about their upcoming apprenticeship programmes and how to prepare for the application process.

Throughout the day, attendees heard from a range of speakers and took part in informing activities, such as:

✅ Apprenticeship Insights – students learned about the variety of apprenticeships Dunelm offer and how these can lead to rewarding careers at Dunelm.
✅ CV Tips & Application Process – the Dunelm team shared expert advice on writing standout CVs and walked students through their application process to help them feel confident when applying.
✅ Real-Life Experience – Dunelm gave them a glimpse of what it’s like to be part of the Dunelm family, sharing stories from current apprentices and employees.
✅ Head Office tour – Dunelm colleagues gave attendees a look behind-the-scenes to meet different teams and understand the different functions and their roles.
