Amazing Apprenticeships go behind-the-scenes at Coca-Cola and The House of Commons.

The latest instalments in the ‘Apprentices Are Amazing’ film series introduces Amelia, a mechanical and electrical engineer and FMEA Apprentice of the Year 2020, and Carly, an accounts officer pursuing a professional level apprenticeship.

The inspirational films follow Amelia and Carly in their day-to-day roles offering insight into their journey so far, why they chose an apprenticeship, how they found their apprenticeship, and what their advice to those considering their next step would be.

I’m a practical learner. We are taught theoretical principles in a classroom environment then we come in the next day to our workplace and we are shown the practical side of that theoretical knowledge. It makes everything click. It’s so much easier to understand a concept when you have it in your hands.
I’m very lucky that I love my job… I’m 20 years old and I’ve found a career that I want to do for the rest of my life
.” Amelia, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners.

For me, it was one of two options, either uni straight after school or an apprenticeship. There is more chance of getting a job straight after your apprenticeship. Working in parliament is amazing, you get to see all kinds of different cultures and history in the workplace.” Carly, House of Commons.

Amazing Apprenticeships has created a full lesson plan, student worksheet and presentation to accompany each of the films. The resource bundles are great for both teachers and careers staff to use in the classroom and for parents and carers to use in their home learning schedule.
