One day, nine EDI expert-led innovation workshops, 100 apprenticeship changemakers, keynote sessions and practical case studies brought to you by Amazing Apprenticeships.
The conference series accompanies The Genie Programme, the only social mobility and EDI curriculum developed specifically for apprenticeship and vocational pathway professionals.
A unique opportunity to empower individuals to lead on equality, diversity and inclusion challenges, the conference will present apprenticeship opportunities as drivers for change. Speakers include employers who have successfully implemented interventions, alongside those with lived experience of the impact even the smallest of innovations can have.
“Having worked with leading organisations such as Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, AstraZeneca, Howdens, The Eden Project and Premier Foods over the past 18 months of The Genie Programme, it has become increasingly clear that while the wish to make change is within most companies and individuals, knowing where and how to start and having the confidence, knowledge and supporting data is holding individuals back from moving forward,” says Anna Morrison, founder and director of Amazing Apprenticeships and host of Genie Live.
The first edition of Genie Live on Monday 27th February at The Foundling Museum in London promises practical solutions, research, data and examples of proven strategies to inspire attendees to improve access to opportunity and create a more diverse and inclusive workforce through apprenticeships.
“Connecting passionate apprenticeship professionals in a live environment to network, learn and share will empower even more to take that initial step or push forward with projects they may have already started,” continues Morrison. “Nine workshops have been designed to spark inspiration, deepen understanding and trigger action and the networking opportunity.”
Keynote speaker Kriss Akabusi MBE will open the conference. A qualified life coach, champion of diverse and disadvantaged talent, and a firm believer in the potential of all young people, particularly those from care backgrounds, Akabusi will set the tone for the day as delegates are encouraged to expand their understanding, explore complex issues and discuss ideas with their peers.
Designed for anyone working in apprenticeship, attraction or recruitment strategy interested in learning more about social mobility, diversity and inclusion, Genie Live is now open for registration.
