J.P. Morgan, Nuffield Heath and University of Oxford among next to sign up for Amazing Apprenticeships’ The Genie Programme 2022

February 02, 2022

The Genie Programme, from Amazing Apprenticeships, has announced the first in an impressive line-up of organisations who will be joining their next cohort, starting in March.

The University of Oxford, currently ranked the best university in the world, were the first to confirm for the group. They will be joined by two delegates from health and wellbeing giant Nuffield Health, and apprenticeships professionals from global financial services leader J.P. Morgan, kitchen specialists Howdens, and Surrey County Council. The NHS will also be joining the programme again, having taken part in 2021’s programme.

The 12-month programme for early careers professionals from SMEs, universities, corporate businesses and public bodies, brings together changemakers from across industries to explore apprenticeships as a tool to drive social mobility and to place diversity and inclusion at the forefront of their organisation’s agenda.

“It is really exciting to see such well-established names taking part in The Genie Programme again for 2022,” said Employer Relationships Lead, Tom Pritchard, “It’s about learning and inspiration, not just from the brilliant speakers, course instructors and visits, but also from each other. That’s one of the things that has struck me most, the sense of community the programme generates, the openess with which delegates share their challenges, and the energy they infuse the programme with. We are really looking forward to seeing what this latest cohort brings.”

Designed to provide the tools, experience and support needed for delegates to identify and cultivate a Pitch for Change specific to their organisation, The Genie Programme alumni includes leading organisations such as Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, AstraZeneca, Zurich Insurance and The Open University.

“It’s a real opportunity to share best practice and learn from the experience of other organisations,” continues Pritchard. The candidness within the programme creates a real safe space for conversation, and a level playing field with businesses of all sizes from across sectors sharing and learning from each other.”

The firm intends to open up additional places to as wide a cross-section of UK businesses as possible.  We want to ensure that everyone ready to invest the time and focus on making such important change has an opportunity to join the programme this year. Addressing D&I and social mobility is a long-term journey, and one that many businesses want to start; The Genie Programme provides that structured, focused first step.”
