Mechatronics and robotics, electronic engineering, nursing, business, conveyancing and digital marketing apprentices feature in new apprenticeship film for Luton.

Created on behalf of Luton Council by Amazing Apprenticeships, the new film, produced in English and soon to be released in Bengali, Polish and Urdu, showcases the awe-inspiring apprenticeship opportunities open to young people in the town of Luton.

Apprentices from leading companies Stellantis, Leonardo UK, Hannah Solicitors LLP, Luton Council and the NHS offer insight into their motivations to pursue an apprenticeship, the experiences they have had, and the opportunities now open to them.

Councillor Aslam Khan, Deputy Leader of Luton Council, said: “We are proud of the many apprenticeship opportunities available in the town, some of which are highlighted in our new film. Apprenticeships not only have a positive impact on the individual but also create many benefits for employers and the wider economy. They are a fantastic way of enhancing skills, ensuring our residents are able to access quality, well paid jobs.
“The variety of apprenticeships available in Luton are not just for young people, but people of all ages, interested in all industries. Apprenticeships are a great way to enter your chosen career, allowing you to learn through education and experience at the same time.”

Anna Morrison CBE, founder and director of Amazing Apprenticeships, said: “Having worked with the team at Luton Council for many years, it’s been brilliant to be able to recognise such a diverse range of apprenticeships available in the area and follow these inspiring young people in their day-to-day roles. What struck us most was how relatable the apprentices are as role models to young students in the local area. Their enthusiasm around their career, the work they are doing and the opportunities their apprenticeship is providing is simply inspirational.”

Produced with thanks to the support of Careers Hub Luton, South East Midlands LEP (SEMLEP) and The Careers and Enterprise Company, the film is now live on the Amazing Apprenticeship website and will be distributed to schools and colleges, local community groups and through Careers Hub Luton.
