New Resources for Care Experienced Young People from Amazing Apprenticeships

Amazing Apprenticeships has released a brand new guide for care experienced young people planning their pathway to a career.

To coincide with National Care Leavers Week, The Apprenticeship Guide for Care Experienced Young People aims to provide all the information a young person with care experience needs to know to consider apprenticeships as their next step.

Covering the benefits, how to apply, the all-important added financial and practical support available for apprentices with care experience and much more, the guide compliments Project Positive, a partnership between Amazing Apprenticeships, Hertfordshire County Council, and ELSA Next Generation to offer tailored support to employers in Hertfordshire who are passionate about social mobility in their business.

“We know that for some young people leaving care and striving to live independently, the implications of low-pay through an apprenticeship makes them unviable and unattractive.” said Founder and Director of Amazing Apprenticeships, Anna Morrison. “There are some brilliant employers primed to properly support care experienced young people as we know from our work on Project Positive, and there are financial mechanisms in place to make the opportunity a reality. We have created The Apprenticeship Guide for Care Experienced Young People to arm our young care leavers with all the information they need to help them make an informed decision.”
