November 15, 2022
The Met Police, Virgin Media, KPMG, The NHS, Goldman Sachs, British Airways and Sky among leading companies listing apprenticeship vacancies in banking, construction, health, protected services, science, customer relations and more.
Recruiting for a 2023 start, each opportunity offers potential applicants the details of location, salary and how to apply.
“It is so exciting to see not only the sheer number of opportunities available to study for a higher or degree apprenticeship but also the brilliant range of salaries being offered,” comments Anna Morrison CBE, director and founder of Amazing Apprenticeships. “Companies are realising the opportunities that Level 4-7 apprenticeships create and thinking seriously about attracting talented young people with ambitious packages.”
The listing includes eight separate opportunities within the NHS, ten vacancies with Virgin Media and O2, and a variety of positions with police units across the country. Jaguar Land Rover has listed ten positions across the West Midlands, Natwest opportunities cover Bristol, Birmingham, London, Leeds and Manchester, Amazon have 14 separate vacancies and Kier Group is recruiting for 27 separate degree-level positions.
“Releasing the listing at this stage is so important. There will be many young people currently focussing on completing their university application before the January UCAS deadline. This listing represents huge opportunity for them to widen the scope of their plans and consider an apprenticeship as well.”
With many opportunities leading to a full bachelors or masters degree, or degree-level qualification, higher and degree apprenticeships offer a fee-free way of continuing to study while both earning and gaining work experience.
“I always recommend a twin-track approach to application. There is nothing stopping a young person from exploring full time university, apprenticeships, gap years, volunteering and indeed anything else they might be considering. Write a personal statement, submit a university application, but keep every option open and apply for relevant apprenticeships too!”
With some positions now open for application and others opening in the New Year, the Higher and Degree listing is live and downloadable here.
