Amazing Apprenticeships proudly works in partnership with the BBC Early Careers team to help raise awareness of the different early career pathways available.
Over the last few years, we have created many resources that showcase the breadth of exciting opportunities available through the BBC apprenticeship programmes, by organising teacher visits to see behind the scenes, featuring case studies of apprentices and hosting webinars for aspiring apprentices.
We have developed a close working partnership with the BBC team, and we are excited that this is now expanding to include BBC Bitesize Careers also.
Webinars
We recently hosted a webinar with the BBC, attracting more than 1,000 registrants to hear more about the 2024/25 intake, and what to expect from the recruitment process.
We had expert input from Allison Hinds, Outreach Schemes Specialist, Early Careers, BBC Academy and her team, explaining the detail of the BBC programmes, and how to apply.
THIS IS MY STORY FILM LAUNCH
In December 2023, Amazing Apprenticeships partnered with the BBC to host the launch of the ‘This is my story’ film, featuring the stories of six inspirational apprentices with learning differences and disabilities.
Held at the iconic BBC Headquarters in London, we welcomed the apprentices and their families, training providers and employers to celebrate their achievements at this special event.
TEACHER VISIT TO SALFORD
In July 2024, Amazing Apprenticeships partnered with the BBC to invite 30 local teachers and careers advisers to BBC Salford, home of BBC Breakfast, BBC Sport, BBC Children’s, and BBC Radio Manchester. The aim was simple – to showcase the enormous range of career opportunities available, and to demonstrate the inclusive approach that the BBC has in recruiting a diverse range of individuals at all levels.
