Apprenticeships are often billed as the universal solution to skills gaps in an organisation. If they are, do we need to change our approach?

Apprenticeships have been reformed to cover levels 2 through to level 7. We now have flexi-job apprenticeships, front-loaded apprenticeships, accelerated apprenticeships and inclusive apprenticeships as well as traineeships, occupational traineeships and Kickstart.
