Teacher Degree Apprenticeship with University of Brighton Webinar
April 1, 2025
The Teacher Degree Apprenticeship (TDA) is a new apprenticeship being launched in England this year, initially focussing on those wishing to teach in secondary school teaching maths, and in primary school (age 5-11). The TDA is a new route into teaching. It offers the opportunity to earn whilst you learn, become a qualified teacher and gain a degree without student debt. Degree apprenticeships are growing in popularity and will be offered alongside the university route, so aspirational teachers will be able to choose the path that works best for them.
Suitable for all individuals whether leaving school or college, or those already working in schools including teaching assistants and higher level teaching assistants, the TDA offers an alternative way for aspiring teachers to achieve a teaching qualification whilst continuing to work and learn in their setting.
The University of Brighton are one of more than 60+ providers now offering this exciting new pathway and will be sharing the approach that they are taking, and sharing details of how schools can get involved.
Watch this webinar with Amazing Apprenticeships and the University of Brighton to hear more about:
– The TDA scheme, and how it will work in practice.
– Bursaries available for schools to access (secondary only)
– Entry requirements and eligibility criteria
– The delivery model and duration of programme

This webinar is relevant for all schools (primary and secondary) wishing to learn more about the Teacher Degree Apprenticeship.
It is also suitable for individuals considering an apprenticeship, as well as those in school settings who are considering Teacher Degree Apprenticeships for their existing workforce, future workforce and those careers advisers and teachers supporting students considering their next steps.
