Today, Amazing Apprenticeships was honoured to welcome Bridget Phillipson, Shadow Secretary of State for Education, and Alistair Strathern MP, to their offices in Hitchin. The visit, held in celebration of National Apprenticeship Week 2024, provided an opportunity for the MPs to engage with the team at Amazing Apprenticeships, gaining insights into the crucial role apprenticeships play in shaping the future workforce.
National Apprenticeship Week 2024 is a dedicated week to highlight the significance of apprenticeships across various industries. The visit from Bridget Phillipson and Alistair Strathern allowed for valuable conversations surrounding apprenticeship challenges and opportunities to take place, focusing on issues that resonate with Amazing Apprenticeships’ mission.
During the roundtable discussion, Bridget and Alistair heard from a variety of apprentices working in accountancy, IT, finance, digital marketing, teaching, childcare and sport. They shared their apprenticeship experiences, what they love about their roles and also their ideas for what they would like to see changed for future generations of apprentices.
