Completing an apprenticeship in Operational Management has really helped me in developing my leadership and management skills. I have enjoyed learning approaches and theories and then applying these to my work. The flexibility of an apprenticeship allowed me to balance my learning with my busy job and busy home life, in a way that suited me.

Having just left school after taking A Levels, I was looking for a job that could offer some sort of qualification alongside working full time. Living close to HQ Air Command meant that it was an ideal location to work, as well as the station having a hive of activity with so much going on.
