Defence is changing: the work that people do is changing, the challenges we face are changing, and the skills we need to deliver Defence are changing too. We have been thinking about what training opportunities there are for you and believe that apprenticeships represent a fantastic opportunity to invest in our future.

All our schemes provide opportunities for you to develop skills, gain valuable experience and achieve a professional recognised qualification. these are available in a broad and diverse range of areas.

  • Business Administration
  • Commercial
  • Cyber
  • Finance
  • Project Management

We are committed to providing opportunities for individuals from diverse backgrounds to gain work-related skills and nationally recognised qualifications through structured, work-based training programmes. Most of the training will be ‘on-the-job’ with the remaining ‘off-the-job’ training delivered by a training provider. This means minimal disruption and maximum impact.

The qualifications you can gain range from Level 2 (equivalent to 5 GCSEs), A Level 3 (equivalent to 2 A Levels) to Level 7, which is equivalent to a Master degree. Apprenticeships last between one to five years depending on the qualification you work towards.
