Flying Start degree programmes

Our Flying Start degree programmes offer you the opportunity to start a career and gain a degree at the same time.

Join us in accounting, business management or technology, where you can earn a salary and fast-track your career while studying for your chosen subject. Whichever programme you choose, you’ll work on a range of projects in a culture that embraces difference and encourages you to think imaginatively. At PwC we want you to feel challenged, to grow and to flourish. You’ll have the opportunity to make an impact, being the difference to our clients from day one.

Want to study accounting?

Our Accounting Flying Start degree programme lasts four years and will fast track your career in business and accounting. During the programme you’ll have three paid work placements with us. They’re built into the university’s academic year and last for just one term in each year, so you’ll still have the summer off to enjoy. The programme will put you on track to becoming an ICAEW Chartered Accountant – you’ll complete 80% of your ICAEW exams on the degree, and will be just over a year away from the full qualification once you graduate.

Business Management

As an apprentice on the Flying Start Business Management programme most of your week will be spent working in the business, learning on the job. You’ll also attend university on a day release basis studying towards a degree: BSc Hons Leading on Customer Operations at Ulster University Business School, gaining the knowledge, skills and behaviours you need in order to thrive in the Operate business.

Or choose our Technology degree route

We offer a “study-first” or “work-first” approach so that you can choose whether you want your initial focus to be academic study or on-the-job learning. Both routes will involve academic study as well as hands-on work experience.
Whichever path you choose, you will gain a full Bachelor’s degree and a Level 6 Digital Technology Solutions apprenticeship qualification. Combined with high quality work experience, these qualifications will provide the foundations for your career in tech, and showcase your technical abilities.
