Our Values

Passionate, knowledgeable, nurturing, bold, accountable and collaborative are what we believe to be important here at the Arts Council. They are drawn from the ideas and beliefs of people throughout the organisation. They define us by saying clearly who we are, what we do and how we do it.

We are all proud that our organisation holds these six values at its heart. They are proof that we have a clear sense of who we are and what we believe in. Our purpose is clear and we have talented people, passionate about the arts and ready to make these values come alive.

Diversity at Arts Council England

We celebrate diversity, and have received a number of accreditations, such as being a Disability Confident Employer and a Stonewall Diversity Champion.

We publish our employee diversity information annually here.

Arts Council England

You don’t have to be an artist to work at the Arts Council. You might be interested in marketing, customer service, grant management, finance or HR.

You’ll be paid a fair wage while gaining skills, knowledge and experience to help you in your career. You’ll also have the chance to learn and develop through training, conferences and other opportunities – that’s why we’ve been awarded an Investors in People Gold award.
