The marriott Food & Beverage Apprenticeship
The Food & Beverage level 2 apprenticeship programme takes Marriott service excellence to the next level as part of the Food and Beverage Academy.
The programme is designed to enhance the skills and experiences of a learner within all areas of hospitality and develop excellence across different departments. The programme will focus on the core values within Marriott and how to build service excellence whilst understanding other roles to maximise performance.
Learners will complete a full rotation throughout all Food & Beverage departments, as well as attend six off-job workshops linked directly to the departmental rotation.

Workshop 1 – Hosting and Service Skills: First impressions / knowing and identifying customer needs
Workshop 2 – Wine Service: Style / characteristics / pouring and service skills / wine knowledge
Workshop 3 – Mixology: Free pouring / skills and techniques / specialist equipment / cocktail knowledge
Workshop 4 – Barista: Using specialist equipment / different types of coffee / origins of the coffee bean
Workshop 5 – Casual and Formal Dining: Knowing your service styles / set-ups and layouts
Workshop 6 – Kitchen Skills: Food safety / basic preparation skills / understanding your menu
The high potential for future success is undeniable as this programme will be a stepping stone to develop career pathways within Marriott hospitality.
