Earn While you learn

Part of what makes an apprenticeship a great alternative to university is that you’ll get paid right away. What you’ll earn depends on how fast you learn and achieve, but we pay well above the minimum apprenticeship rates.

As an example, in England and Wales, for a 16 year old school leaver learning a trade, you’ll earn a minimum starting salary of over £10,700. If you join when you are 17, 18 or over 19, the starting salary increases. Your salary will rise to between £13,486 and £17,907 during your second year, £17,907 to £20,534 after the first two years, and to around £25,248 if you progress to L3 on our Carpentry/Joinery apprenticeship
