Be an Openreach Trainee Engineer

Our flagship apprenticeship is the Openreach Trainee Engineer apprenticeship.

We’re looking for talented people to help us lead the way in building our national infrastructure and keeping the nation connected. Our team of engineers are out and about every day building, monitoring, maintaining and repairing our network, so it really is a varied role.

It’s not just a job we’re offering you, it’s a career with a tailored training programme as well as incredible hands-on experiences. Our apprenticeships are designed to offer a structured programme that develops the skills that you need to excel. The majority of training takes place on the job, with the remainder taking place at a local college or a specialist training organisation.

Don’t be put off from applying because you haven’t done something similar before, you’ll get loads of support – and after the first year you will have achieved a qualification for IT, Software and Telecoms professionals that is made up of an NVQ, BTEC and functional skills.
