RSPCA APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAMMES
Currently, the RSPCA doesn’t advertise apprenticeship vacancies at any fixed time of year. You need to keep a watch on the RSPCA website for details as and when they arise. Vacancies are typically for one-off roles such as campaigns assistant, social media assistant, animal care assistant or PR officer etc. They will be for a level 2, 3 or 4 qualification.
Animal Collection Officer apprentices
Occasionally, the RSPCA may recruit for a cohort of apprentices, such as animal collection officers which were last recruited in 2018. They will be based in one of our 36 Inspectorate groups across England and Wales.
Generation Kind apprentices
Our Generation Kind animal care and wildlife assistant apprenticeships are primarily aimed at young people from disadvantaged backgrounds and a number of apprentices are recruited each year. They are based at our animal centres across England and Wales.
How long do RSCPA apprenticships last?
Apprenticeships last for a minimum of a year and you must spend the equivalent of one working day a week gathering information for or studying for your apprenticeship qualification. You will be supported by your line manager and your tutor/assessor who will arrange regular meetings with you.
