APPRENTICESHIP SUPPORT & KNOWLEDGE FOR SCHOOLS

The Apprenticeship Support and Knowledge for Schools project has been commissioned by the National Apprenticeship Service, part of the Skills Funding Agency (SFA), to support the Government’s target of achieving 3 million apprenticeship starts by 2020.

Our vibrant, knowledgeable team has a wealth of experience in working with schools, young people and providers nationwide to promote and improve apprenticeship awareness. Through the project our three Delivery Partners will offer a range of inspirational and engaging apprenticeship and traineeship support to all learning establishments offering provision to years 10, 11, 12 and 13 across four regions: North, Midlands, London and South.

The project aim is to work with teachers, careers advisers, parents and governors, alongside other key partners, to support schools and ensure that they meet their statutory duties regarding the provision of impartial IAG, specifically in relation to apprenticeships and traineeships.

BL Training Ltd are an SFA registered apprenticeship training provider with 30 years’ experience within the Business, Retail and Commercial Enterprise Sectors. For the project we are working in partnership with 10 network providers in the North Region, all of whom have extensive experience in working with schools to support IAG delivery.

EDUCATION & EMPLOYERS TASKFORCE (EET)

The Education and Employers Taskforce charity aims to ‘ensure that every school and college has an effective partnership with employers to provide its young people with the inspiration, motivation, knowledge, skills and opportunities they need to help them achieve their potential and so to secure the UK’s future prosperity’. The Charity runs Inspiring the Future which connects state schools and colleges with employers and people from the world of work. Teachers can easily and at no cost invite volunteers to visit and speak to young people about their job, career and the educational route that they took.

Workpays was established in 2010 to provide a range of employability and skills services including consultancy, project management and training. Our experience includes: project managing the Employment Related Services Qualification Frameworks at level 3 and level 4; Project Managing the set-up of the Institute for Employability Professionals; and delivering outcome funded contracts on behalf of DWP and SFA to around 1000 people per year.
