Apprenticeships for the school workforce

Each year, hundreds of schools throughout England utilise apprenticeships to support thousands of staff within the school workforce to gain and develop their skills.

Apprenticeships are available for teachers and support staff, and can be used for both new recruits and for existing staff.

This site has been designed to help you to find out more about apprenticeships and to hear inspirational stories from individuals in schools that are utilising apprenticeships to further their careers.

Below you will find a range of online resources that will enable you to continue to access the latest apprenticeship support and guidance from home / your work base.

This includes the introduction of new financial incentives for employers recruiting an apprentice(s) as part of the Government’s “Plan for Jobs”.
