What is The ASK Programme?

The Apprenticeship Support & Knowledge for schools and colleges programme (ASK programme) is funded by the Department for Education and aims to support schools and colleges in England to increase awareness of apprenticeships, traineeships and T Levels amongst students, parents, carers, teachers and careers advisers.

Launched in 2015, the ASK programme has transformed the careers landscape across England by engaging individuals and wider school and college communities to better understand how amazing apprenticeships are.

Amazing Apprenticeships are proud to have been a delivery partner of the programme since the very beginning, and to have seen the impact and value the programme is having on young people’s lives and futures.

How Amazing Apprenticeships support ASK

Amazing Apprenticeships have been a key partner of the programme since it first launched. We support the Department for Education in a number of ways, including:

• developing the content for the activities & workshops
• designing resources for the programme and apprenticeships.gov.uk website
• managing the newsletter and communications for the programme
• supporting ASK delivery partners
• working with schools and colleges to gather feedback and insight on the impact and development of the programme going forward
• delivering a central learning and development programme for teachers, careers advisers, parents and carers
• working with stakeholders of the programme

“The ASK programme has been an integral and passionate project for us over the last 8 years, having grown from our work with schools and colleges locally in Hertfordshire to a national programme we are really proud of.

There is an army of brilliant teachers and careers advisers working hard to change perceptions on apprenticeships and technical education and we’re really proud to be able to work with them, and support them to make that a reality.”
