Hop Into Your Future is an exciting new programme for Hertfordshire, designed to connect local business with ambitious young people who are looking to get started on the career ladder.
The programme enables local businesses to:
- Offer a work taster, traineeship or apprenticeship to a young person
- Access additional financial incentives
- Benefit from fully funded mentor training for your teams

How is it funded?
The project is funded through the Community Renewal Fund, and led by Hertfordshire County Council.
How does it work?
The Hop Into Your Future programme is quick and easy to set up. The Amazing Apprenticeships team will be here to help you with every step of the process!
- Speak to the Amazing Apprenticeships team. We will explain the programme and answer any questions you have.
- Identify the employees who will be working with the young person/people. They will become workplace mentees and access the free ½ day training.
- You will then be matched with the young person/people by Hertfordshire County Council.
- You will plan the 12-hour taster activities within your workplace.
- The 12 hours of work taster activity will be delivered with the young person.
- If it works well, the taster can convert to a traineeship (minimum of 70 hours work placement).
- If this works well, the traineeship can convert to an apprenticeship.
- We will support you to access financial incentives.
