I’ll never forget my first day with Bakkavor. I walked in and there was so much going on. There were loads of people, everybody was working very fast and there were lots of washing and hygiene procedures that everyone needed to adhere to. It was a lot to process, as I’d only just left school and there was so much information being given to me. The challenge of mixing work with studying for an academic qualification was also a steep learning curve, but my manager and Bakkavor’s Early Careers Team were very supportive, and my confidence soon began to grow both in and out of work.
